Building Menus
Create reusable menus and dishes that power your proposals and events.
Menus are reusable building blocks in CaterCamp. Build them once, then drop them into proposals and events without retyping.
Creating a menu
From the Menus page, click New Menu. Give it a name (e.g., "Plated Wedding Dinner" or "Corporate Lunch Buffet") and add items.
Menu items
Each item can include:
- A name and description.
- A price (per person or per item, depending on how you sell).
- Optional ingredients, which help with dietary tracking and costing.
Using menus elsewhere
- In proposals — add a menu's items as line items so your quote is detailed and accurate.
- On events — attach a menu so your kitchen and staff know exactly what to prepare.
Tips
- Keep a few templates for your most common packages — it makes quoting much faster.
- Use clear, client-friendly descriptions; the same text can appear on proposals your clients read.
- Plan limits apply to the number of menus on lower tiers. If you hit the limit, you can upgrade under Billing.
Next: send it all in a proposal.
