Getting Started with CaterCamp
A quick tour of CaterCamp and the fastest path from sign-up to your first booked event.
Welcome to CaterCamp — the all-in-one platform for running a catering business. This guide gives you the lay of the land and a simple path to get going.
The big picture
CaterCamp follows the natural flow of a catering job:
- Leads — a potential client reaches out (or fills in your inquiry form).
- Proposal — you send a branded quote they can approve and e-sign.
- Event — the booked job, with its menu, timeline, staff, and equipment.
- Invoice — you collect a deposit and the final balance online.
Everything is organized around your clients and their events, so nothing falls through the cracks.
Your first 15 minutes
To get value quickly, do these in order:
- Set up your organization. Go to Settings → Organization and add your business name and logo. Your logo appears on proposals, invoices, and your public inquiry form.
- Add your dropdown options. Under Settings → Dropdowns, tailor event types, lead sources, and more to match how you work.
- Create a menu or two. Menus become reusable building blocks for proposals. See Building menus.
- Turn on lead capture. Share your inquiry form so new requests flow straight into your pipeline.
- Connect payments. Add your Stripe or PayPal keys under Settings → Integrations so you can get paid online.
Where to go next
- New inquiries: Capturing leads
- Moving deals forward: Managing your pipeline
- Getting paid: Invoices & payments
